Guerrilla Fundraising, Part 2

It’s been a very busy day and I only have time for a quick post.  We had a board meeting tonight for ULC and I’m so excited about the upcoming projects!  Will make sure to fill you all in on details as they come in to me.  For now, I thought I’d share a list of fundraisers we provide our volunteers and then also help them implement.  I hope you enjoy the list.  As usual, if you have any questions about how we’ve done these fundraisers in the past, please let me know.  And, if you’re interested in hosting one of these fundraisers for our library in Pilate, PLEASE let me know ASAP.  I will be by your side the whole way!

Quick & Easy Fundraising Ideas

  1. Post your request or event on Facebook and other social networking sites
  2. Do a yard sale (start by asking people to donate old junk)
  3. Host a fundraising dinner with friends
  4. Collect your loose change
  5. Email your friends and family to tell them about the project
  6. Contact your local chamber of commerce (get in their newsletter, ask for sponsorship)
  7. Recycle phones, ink cartridges, cans, etc.
  8. Put a jar on the counter of a local restaurant or coffee shop
  9. Host a theme party and charge a cover fee
  10. Ask your employer about a matching contribution
Good luck with your efforts!
